Singapore for travellers, not tourists
My name is Nigel. I am a born-fed(fattened?)-and-raised 4th-gen Singaporean. I am also a world-traveller who, on his travels, engages only home-grown guides in every city I visit, from Portugal to Pondicherry, Yellowstone to Yangon.
There is only so much that you can watch/read/listen/glean about a place in your research. The human-touch, which you experience with a local-guide, is non-replaceable.
This honest, heart-to-heart, non-scripted, salt-of-the-earth commentary built on passion, education and lived-experience is what I bring to you.

The Yishun Trails
(perfect if you are visiting the Singapore Zoo/Mandai Wildlife Reserve)
Duration - 2 hours/tour
Cost - $110/tour
A place so interesting that Netflix HAD to use it for the promos of their hit-series "Stranger Things." - It's a pity most tourists never explore the ancient, quirky and welcoming heartland of Yishun. Nestled between the colonial-era Sembawang Shipyard (previously home to the largest dry-dock in the world) and the Seletar Aerospace Park (Asian hub for Airbus, Embry-Riddle, Rolls-Royce, etc), Yishun has abit of something for everyone. Come hang with the natives ;) West Loop START at Khatib MRT, Yishun Ring Road, HDB blocks 775-795 cluster, Dong Shan temple, Sri Maha Mariamman temple, Feeder bus to Chong Pang Market and Hawker Centre, Yishun MRT, END East Loop START at Khatib MRT, Yishun Ave 2, Lower Seletar Reservoir, HDB blocks 816-848 cluster, Gurdwara Sahib Yishun, Feeder bus to Yishun Integrated Transport Hub, Yishun MRT, END
